Seeing my 7-year-old son who has Dravet Syndrome, a rare and catastrophic form of epilepsy, run miles at his school and finish first grade with his peers fills me with a joy that I thought was stolen forever the day Tim had his first seizure in 2015. Listening to him read to me at night, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for his health. He has accomplished so much in his short life; he is my miracle! Tim is thriving today, and I owe that to Drs. Steve and Mary Rondeau and The Wholeness Center and our commitment to his health. Writing this I am reminded of the long journey we have been on over the last 5.5 years working together to optimize Tim’s Health and all that we have learned. I am simultaneously humbled and honored to be joining their care team to guide parents and children on their wellness journey.

My career in business started while I was studying, I was Political Science at UCLA and I have enjoyed working in the sleep health and wellness space with great success for the last twenty-three years. My journey with integrative medicine began in 2012 when my sister was diagnosed with late-stage ovarian cancer and given a poor prognosis. After thousands of hours of research, I was astonished at the healing stories, and the science involved. I knew she needed to embark on a radical health shift, and so did I, if I was to avoid her fate. During her treatment we worked with some of the world’s best naturopathic doctor’s. She made radical diet and lifestyle changes, we sought to heal her mitochondria and create a personalized health plan for her. I am happy to report she has been cancer free for over 10 years and now works with the doctor that saved her life. In the early years of Denise’s diagnosis, I asked myself many times, “Why her”? That answer became clearer to me when the knowledge I acquired managing her care helped guide me on how to help my son and many other children with his disease thrive.

Integrative medicine since that time has been a passion/ obsession of mine and I have informally helped hundreds of people with their health. In 2019 my passion became my purpose, and I became a Certified Health Coach, completing my training at the Integrative Institute for Nutrition in New York. I went on to get specialty certifications in Sleep Science, as well as Low Carb/ Ketogenic Diets and I am currently working on additional Certifications in Nutrigenomics, and Mitochondria.

My areas of expertise are in epilepsy, cancer, trauma, epigenetics, diabetes, weight loss, longevity, detoxification, and fasting. I would love to help you, your child, or your family reach your wellness goals. I have found that it is not what we have to do that overwhelms a person when facing change, but how to do it. I have walked that path and have a system that can help ease the pain points of transition for you, and help you feel a sense of peace as we optimize health and lifestyle for you or your loved ones.

My goal with every client is to give sense of hope, direction, control, reassurance of a path that has been walked before you, and most of all provide you the support you to reach goals you may not have thought possible.
