Psychedelic Assisted Therapy

Psychedelic Assisted Therapy

psychedelic assisted therapyWholeness has a long term vision of providing future psychedelic assisted treatments as they become legal in Colorado.  We are currently actively participating in psychedelic research programs including MDMA for severe PTSD through MAPS.  The FDA has provided “break through status” for both MDMA and psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy.  Here is a summary of the work done with MAPS and MDMA

In November voters approved Proposition 122, granting Coloradans legal access to a promising modality for treating mental health ailments. In addition to decriminalizing psychedelic mushrooms (psilocybin) for personal use, this legislation created a framework for psilocybin to be used in mental healthcare and therapeutic settings under the supervision of trained guides. As an integrative clinic, Wholeness Center aspires to continue to operate at the forefront of wellness and implement all available and effective practices to support our patients mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

In addition to ketamine assisted psychotherapy, we will be offering other forms of psychedelic assisted therapy as is legal under current Colorado law, in both individual and group settings. This modality combines the pharmacological effects of psilocybin with psychological support to optimize outcomes. Recent studies show that psilocybin treatment for major depression is effective for up to a year for most patients

Psychedelics have been used in a variety of cultures around the world for thousands of years in therapeutic, ceremonial, and religious settings. We plan to honor indigenous healing traditions and synthesize their wisdom and practices with contemporary psychological approaches.  As we move into 2023 we’re excited to further update our roster of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy offerings and practitioners and continue to bring the highest quality of integrative care to Fort Collins.
