Because of my own health issues, I know that the initial symptoms of my patients are often not easily remedied with just a pill. I look “upstream” to consider the complex web of interactions in the client’s history, physiology, and lifestyle that can lead to any illness, and particularly mental illness. Potential contributors include: sleep disorders, toxic chemical or mold exposure, poor digestion, food allergies/ sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies, immune reactions, hormone levels, oxidative stress, inflammation, and the psychological and spiritual state of the patient.
