hCG for Weight Loss
What is hCG?
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a peptide hormone produced during pregnancy by the placenta. hCG performs several important functions. It maintains progesterone production after 12 weeks of fetal development. It is also speculated that this hormone affects immune tolerance which is critical for pregnancy. Lastly, hCG is believed to play an important role in providing a constant reservoir of nutrition and energy to the growing fetus. When we do early pregnancy testing in mothers, hCG is the hormone we assess with blood or urine testing.
In medicine, we use hCG (in much higher doses) in infertility with IVF cycles to stimulate the mother to make follicles or eggs for harvesting. We also use it in men with testosterone to make more testosterone.
For this weight loss program you will be taking a dose that is a fraction of that required for fertility treatments. Your dose is only enough to change your metabolism for weight loss.
How is hCG used for weight reduction?
In 1954, a British doctor with a clinic in Rome, Albert Theodore William (ATW) Simeons, MD, discovered that administration of small amounts of hCG coupled with a very low calorie diet over six-week cycles facilitated remarkable and rapid weight loss. Dr. Simeons further uncovered that using hCG in this way made calorie restriction dieting very well tolerated by his patients, who reported no complaints of hunger during the six-week period. He also found that using hCG in this way allowed for fat to be lost from hard to access fat storage areas (abdomen, things, buttocks). With traditional calorie restriction diets, fat is often preferentially lost from more essential structural fat areas (joints, foot pads, face, under skin).
Fad diets that rely on calorie restriction are difficult to adhere to and often result in an inability to lose fat from the hard to access storage areas. In addition, the rate of rebound weight gain with these types of diets is extremely high. This is not a protracted, long-term program of diet pills, meal bars, shakes, pre-purchased meals or shots. Diet medications are stimulants and fraught with multiple side effects that are not consistent with a true wellness program. Our experience with the hCG Program confirms this to be a very safe and effective method for rapidly losing weight from those especially hard to access areas and this approach carries a much greater likelihood of success in keeping that weight off. The hCG hormone allows your metabolism to stay very active while you eat the very-low-calorie diet. We would not recommend such a diet without the hCG hormone, but with the hormone you can burn through your excess fat, safely and comfortably. The hormone itself doesn’t cause you to lose any weight – it simply makes the diet comfortable, safe, and effective. By following your hCG Program guide as closely to the letter as you can through all phases of the program, you can assure yourself of not only a remarkable weight loss but also a re-shaping of your body contour. This weight loss can be easily maintained over time with adherence to the simple Phase IV instructions.
