Whitney Seibert, PA-C
I am a physician assistant at Wholeness Center and will be working closely with Dr.Shannon, Dr. Mullin, and all of the Wholeness team to help you or your child developand implement an individualized plan for optimal health. I am available for psychiatric follow-ups, physical exams, and to address certain general medical conditions. We will use a broad set of tools, including both supplements and traditional medications if necessary, as well as guide you toward lifestyle interventions and therapies that can assist in the process of learning and adapting to heal yourself.
I grew up in a family of wildlife biologists, and lived in Guam and Nebraska before eventually finding my home in Fort Collins. Here, I enjoy rock climbing, snowboarding, painting, and traveling. While I developed an appreciation for the healing abilities of nature at a young age, I have found myself drawn more to the biology of humans and the strong relationship between mental and physical health. I started exploring yoga and meditation when I was 9 years old, and continue to value these practices today for their ability to provide strength and clarity extending to many aspects of life. As an undergraduate, I learned about neural plasticity and the brain’s lifelong ability to form new connections and adapt to adverse circumstances. I believe these ideas and practices set into motion my pursuit of complementary medicine and psychiatry.
While receiving my degree as a child health associate and physician assistant, we learned about the complex connections between different body systems including nervous, musculoskeletal, and endocrine. I found it frustrating how these same relationships, in addition to emotional wellbeing, were often ignored in favor of using a medication to target only one piece of the puzzle. I repeatedly wanted to go beyond conventional allopathic medicine when treating patients, and address deeper issues of body, mind, and spirit. I am happy to have found Wholeness Center, a place where nurturing all aspects of self is considered necessary for vitality and wellness.
